Hey everyone,
We have finally filled up all our essential board positions. If anyone still wants to participate on the board, please email me and we'll discuss what's available.
So without further ado, the board for '09-'10 looks like this:
President: Alex Florescu
Vice president: Mackenzie Morgan
Treasurer: Ryan Coyner
Secretary: Pooja Agrawal
Technical Director: Marco Chomut
Congratulations to everyone, I'm sure we'll have a great year together and I hope we'll get a lot of stuff done!
I want to take this opportunity to also say thank you to Trevor Ford and Dan Fego, the departing President and Vice President who have been bravely leading this organization (for two years now?) through what I would say have been difficult times. But they've managed to keep it alive and well, and have done some great things, from which I would like to mention developing a great collaboration with the DC chapter of ACM on which we can further build upon, as well as getting the student body to be more involved in competitions such as the ACM programming contest and the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition. So congratulations to them and good luck in all future endeavors! I know you're planning to stick around the area, so you'll always be welcome to come to our meetings and events, and I'll make it a point to spam you about it whenever they take place!
We will have at least one meeting bringing together the new board and the old board for figuring out transition issues, so we'll keep in touch on that topic.
